Dancing Dreams

Walk softly past my window
Early morning light stretches
Across a dimly lit sky
With gentle hands
Reaching for a heart
That yawns
While the mind
Holds onto dreams
In shimmering shades
Of lavender and blue
Pleading, “…don’t wake me, not yet, not yet…”
Tender kisses like feathers fall
From the lips of lovers
Drift upon a delicate backdrop
Of rainbows and the sweet scent of freshly picked flowers
Dancing like Fred and Ginger
Two as one synchronized
In a life filled with promises
Of forever and always…

I Am Still Here

Your eyes close
peaceful rest
holding your hand
a gentle squeeze
...I'm still here
Sunlight slips
between the cracks
in drawn shades
Patterns of lace
dance on pale
linen colored walls
Shallow breath
I lay my head
on your chest
for confirmation
you whisper
...I'm still here
We fall together
a dream state
a reverie
and sacred space
Fields of lavender
and wild flowers
The wind weaves
and sways
between long
blades of grass
Like a child
fear and foe
dissipate
and laughter
permeates the air
I turn to you
your eyes
meet mine
...I'm still here
Warmth and energy
smiles forever wide
And off in the distance
your shadow begins
to glisten
and in the quiet
the calm silence
leaning forward
I strain to listen
and as your voice
begins to fade
I can hear you say
I am still here, I am still here...

Spring Daze ~ 2011

Carousel ~ Bryant Park, NYC ~ 2011

Carosello Of Love

Photographs
and
film clips
tender memories
like the ghost
from a child’s
nursery rhyme,
carosello of love
spins round
rose petals
mixed with
babies breath
a touch
of lavender
sentimental scents
fill the air
with translucent images
soundtrack background
a rhythmic loop
that stirs the soul
continues to sing
sweet songs
on a high
love holds true
and ready
while the sun
remains faithful
to its intent
rising
same place
different time
day after day…
