Untangle My Mind

Try Try Again

There’s not
much time
to get it right
try
try again
and what is pleasing
to the eye
can take the heart
on a long
long ride
with not much to show
but lesson lived
and bridges burned
while the wind
continues to blow
a sweet
sweet song
and voices carry
whispered words
that went silent
a long
long time ago…

Full Moon Rising 2011

Penfield Beach Fairfield CT ~ Full moon 3.19.2011

Man In A Perigee Moon

Paper tigers and butterflies
whimsical flutter touches my cheek
while a playful breeze
dances past images of
marionette smiles and painted eyes
seeing beyond the unexpected
purpose and intent
traces of a shadowy disguise
continually torn between
evening dreams and bitter sweet reverie
as silent day light reaches out
with a gentle nudge
of a new day and once again
early morning sunrise with the promise
of a perigee moon, clear sky
and a high tide
anticipation is my delight…

Rainy days and time change

Sailboat w/ lights Rowayton CT

Second Chance Second Wind

New moon, dark sky
and starlight
Search in silent reverie
for a moment
Grand plan in the scheme of things
A tidal wave of emotion
Filmstrip days move by
frame to frame
Floating images a seductive dance
Creative process takes its toll
There is no apparent wisdom
Precious territory wrapped neatly
In words that clutter
the mind
Yet life has been generous
Unpredictable
and trying at times

Second chance, second wind…

Self Portrait ~ October 2010

Womanofthepage

Oh to be
Virginia Woolf
for a moment
in time
when words flowed
creative process
encumbered by despair
precious pearls of wisdom
masked with conversation
sharing verse and wine with
the Bloomsbury Group
that freed a burdened soul
brilliant sorrow deep
a pocket full of rocks
and a long deliberate walk
off a short seductive pier
sinking deep
into the abyss
solidifying a place
in literary history
of the elite,
the avant garde
songs sung
memorializing
the mystery
intrigue
tragic romance
darkness engulfs
all rational
the frigid River Ouse
like a Knight In Shining Armor
arms wrapped around her
as liberator
salvation
read her words and weep

I am WomanOfThePage ~
