Steadfast and Hold Tight
Looking out
beyond the bay
wind blows
brushing gently
across my face
carrying images
of not so long ago
when love and light
filled
my days
danced
through my nights
flowers in bloom
spring fever
a promise
for tomorrow
precious moments
of delight
while off
in the distance
sails are filled
with memories
another time
I recall your whispered words,
“I will love you forever, steadfast and hold tight…steadfast, hold tight…”
